GSW Hostile Intentions, Moosic PA - GSW returned with their first event of 2016 with Hostile Intentions featuring a one on one contest between Brute VanSlyke VS Kevin The Man Graham. Both men are looking for a title opportunity and this matchup carried championship implications and because of this the long standing friendship between both men took a back seat for the night. It was a hard hitting contest both in and outside the ring with both men doing whatever they could to get the win. Graham singled out VanSlyke's arm and VanSlyke tried knocking Graham's head off. But in the end Graham found an opportunity and after a couple low blows was able to connect with a jumping Flatliner off the 2nd turnbuckle to get the win.
Both men here believe they should be GSW Heavyweight Champion currently instead of Stevie Shields. So to see which one will get the shot at the current champion, we have decided to put them at opposite sides of the ring and see who comes out on top. They have collided in the past a few times at GSW, but this time we have a feeling that "friendly sportsmanship" will not be part of the equation. As Brute VanSlyke and Kevin Graham both stand in the way of what the other man wants. The chance at dethroning the current champion.
GSW Jingle Brawl, Moosic PA - Brute VanSlyke made his return to GSW after a few months absent on Saturday night December 12 at the Moosic Youth Center in Moosic PA. VanSlyke received a loud ovation from the crowd as he made his way to the ring for his match up against Bo Nekoda. The contest started off with some friendly back and forth of chain wrestling and a battle of attempted knock down. Bo was able to eventually stagger VanSlyke enough to catch him off guard and knock the big man down. This seemed to have only angered Brute as he began to become more and more angry and aggressive in the contest. Nekoda was able to mount a comeback after a lengthy beat down from Brute and once again was able to knock the big man off his feet but was not able to keep him down long enough for a three count. VanSlyke almost had the match won when he hit Bo with a power bomb/butterfly suplex combo but failing to do so made Brute angrier and attempted to hit his big lariat on Nekoda who managed to avoid contact and began trading hard blows with the big Brute. VanSlyke found an opening and locked in the Asiatic Spike submission on Nekoda who tried fighting out of the hold but was unable. Bo managed to reach the ropes which Brute mistook his reaching as tapping and when the ref informed him the match was not over he charged Bo who side stepped Brute causing him to spring into the roped and back into a back cracker giving Bo the win.
