Keystone Pro Wrestling Broken Promises on Saturday May 28th is set to see the debut of Brute Vanslyke!! Brute Vanslyke is a physical brawler that uses his size and physicality to dominate opponents. He is a well-traveled superstar that has wrestled in several different states such as New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Kentucky and New Jersey. Vanslyke also took part in an overseas tour of Japan with the W-1 Wrestle-1 Tour in 2015. During that tour he faced off with several Japanese greats including Tajiri. In the states Brute’s influence and dominance has been felt most in promotions such as 2CW, VOW, PPW, NECW AND GSW. While working for those promotions Vanslyke has squared off with several big names on the indy scene including Michael Elgin, Nick Ando, Bull Dempsey, Alexander James, TJ Marconi, Anthony Gangone, Joe Gacy, Shane Helms, Jay Freddie, Stevie Shields, Dick Justice and several others. Brute Vanslyke promises to have a physical encounter with whomever is in his way at Broken Promises so stay tuned to find out exactly what Keystone Pro has in store for Brute! Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling, Hazleton PA - Brute VanSlyke and Travis Dorian were set to square off in a 1 on 1 contest when after a quick flex off that left Brute upset from the crowd reaction, Travis was jumped by VanSlyke and the Brute Squad. Bull Hightower came out to make the save for his friend which lead to PPW office making the match, once again, a 2 on 3 handicap tag team match. The Brute Squad were able to take control on Dorian with VanSlyke giving out a solid beat down. But after Dorian was able to make the tag to Hightower it was then when he was able to take down Jacoby and Mike eventually hitting a pump handle slam on Jacoby and getting the 3 as Brute looked on from the outside.
ECPW comes back to Cortland for “Glen Post: This Is Your Life 2”, a celebration of the promotion's popular manager who has underwent numerous health related issues.
The Cortland County Jr Fairgrounds in Cortland, NY on May 6th will play HOST to a card that is highlighted by even more returns and surprises. Coming off an April that saw seven returns or debuts for the promotion, Showcase is at it again. Just announced for May 6th is the tag-team match between the debuting Brute Van Slyke and Isys Ephex as they take on recently returned ECPW star “The Hybrid” Sean Carr and ECPW United States champion Luke Babcock. This match could end up highlighting a card that (even with all of the accolades mentioned above) could stack up (and possibly surpass) any card that Showcase has put together in quite some time. Brute Van Slyke is a household name to many 2CW and Xcite Wrestling fans. Just last month in Xcite Wrestling he teamed up with Kevin Graham to be Joe Gacy's surprise tag team partners. The same can be said for Isys Ephex who has made his name in 2CW among other companies. Isys Ephex hopes to rebound in Binghamton with a loss his last time in town to Gregory Iron at Xcite Wrestling's 4th Anniversary show. For ECPW United States champion “The Future is Now” Luke Babcock he teams with “The Hybrid” Sean Carr in a match that allows Babcock to show people he can hang in a ring full of 2CW talent. The pressure a little higher than normal for Babcock who will have a great shot to show an even bigger audience online (as we fully expect this match to end up online somewhere) that he can hang. For Babcock, he just cares about keeping the ECPW United States Championship around his waist, a challenge that has just became much harder considering the amount of new faces popping up in ECPW on what seems to be a weekly basis.
Vicious outcast Wrestling, Connellsville PA - VOW presented Scrambled on Saturday night April 2nd featuring the main event of a 6 Way Elimination Scramble match for the VOW Heavyweight title featuring champion Jack Pollock, Andrew Palace, Patrick Hayes, Gory, Alexander James, and Brute VanSlyke.
VanSlyke was able to eliminate Palace after hitting him with a King Of Arms Lariat for the three count. VanSlyke was then able to withstand the outnumbered odds for a time but eventually was eliminated after a triple team attack by Hayes, James, and Pollock. But before heading to the back VanSlyke was able to extract a matter of revenge by laying all three men out with a lariat. The NECW Tag Team Championship will be defended when New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action on Saturday night, May 7 at the Americal Civic Center when the controversial champions The Regulators (Jack maverick & Brute VanSlyke) managed by James Maddox, CEO of WERCS battle "The Canadian Giant" Genesis and Alex North.
